Officials chase unconfirmed al-Qaida bomb plot.

The article "Officials chase unconfirmed al-Qaida bomb plot" was written by Eileen Sulivn and was located in the news section of Yahoo. As the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks approaches, the United States prepares for a ceremony at ground zero, where the victims and heroes of 9/11 will be remembered. As the US prepares to mourn for the thousands of deaths that took place, no one can be sure that the terrorist are not planning another attack on their end. For this reason, security has increased tremendously and many steps are being taken to assure the safety of the nation, it's people, and government. There were reports of a potential al-Qaida car bomb attack on the anniversary of 9/11. The source is said to be credible but however, unconfirmed. The FBI and Homeland Security joined intelligence and desperately urged law enforcement to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity that can pose as a potential threat.
This date is one that changed the lives of current generations and affect the lives of future Americans. News like this must be important to everyone that lives in the United States. An unimaginable amount of lives were lost and this can be considered a national tragedy. It changed the lives of every single citizen in one way or another. Hearing about the plans of terrorists is just devastating. Everyone is obligated to put in any type of effort to commemorate these attacks and prevent future ones.

  1. The attack really was one of the worst days of American history. I agree with the fact that we should all gather as a nation and try to prevent such things from ruining our lives. The 9/11 anniversary attack is just a horrible concept to think about because it again proves how cruel people can be sometimes.

  3. This weekend will definitely be a rather sad one in the history of our nation. I just hope that everyone stays safe and that nothing does happen. It would add even more intensity to the tragedy, and we do not need that as a nation.

  4. On September 11, 2011 our nation took a great hit. This tragedy causes the nation to bond together. Now that it is the tenth anniversary of this event, our nation is bonding together to prevent future attacks. Michael I think that this article is very important to all of us and that we should be very careful this weekend. Great post Micky19, keep up the good work.

  6. Hey Mike! Yesterday i was watching a show based on your post! Its incredible to see the amount of officers that will be present tomorrow. I really hope that they catch those three terrorists before they cause another tragedy to our country. Great choice on this blog post because as we all know tomorrow is September 11, the day the twin towers fell!

  7. Please do consider the fact that national security has improved over the past decade. 10 years ago, we weren't expecting a terrorist attack. Al-Qaeda, being the terrorist group that they are, wants to attack EXACTLY 10 years later. America is arguably the strongest nation in the world and to think that something will actually happen 10 years later is preposterous. Though the attacks on the Pentagon, Twin Towers, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania were absolutely devastating, Al-Qaeda is, in my opinion, much weaker now because they of the death of Osama Bin Laden. Nevertheless, it was a great read.

  8. Like I said, nothing was going to happen. Knowing America though, some people might let their guard down and that's when Al-Qaeda will attack. I'm guessing a couple of months from now, that is, if they attack.
